Antonio Forcione is a world-renowned Italian acoustic guitarist and composer, often called "the Jimi Hendrix of the acoustic guitar" for his distinctive technique and boundary-crossing style. Born in Molise, Italy, in 1960, he blends Mediterranean tradition with jazz, flamenco, African and Brazilian elements, and uses the body of his guitar percussively, playing almost like a one-man orchestra. He recorded the album Heartplay with legendary bassist Charlie Haden and has collaborated with major names including Angélique Kidjo. After more than two decades of friendship, he launched the "Storytellers" project with Grammy-winning Turkish guitarist Cenk Erdoğan.
