Babylon
Şişli , Istanbul
In Sisli Bomonti, inside Bomontiada, the converted historic Bomonti Beer Factory. Babylon opened in Asmalimescit in 1999 and marked an era in Istanbul's music scene; it has been at this address since 2015. Its program doesn't recognize genre boundaries: jazz, electronic, world music, indie and Turkish alternative all find a place on the same calendar. The Istanbul leg of international names has long been held here. The hall is mid-sized — a size where you can stand close to the stage and the sound doesn't spread thin. Bomontiada itself is a draw on its own: there's food-and-drink and open space in the same complex, so you don't need to plan separately before or after the concert. Walking distance to Osmanbey metro station.
