Youngr is an English singer-songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist known worldwide for his massive solo live-looping performances. The son of August Darnell, founder of the celebrated 1980s Latin-funk group Kid Creole and the Coconuts, Youngr builds towering electronic dance tracks in real time on stage, playing and recording layers of drums, piano, guitar and bass single-handedly and stacking them live into one continuous take. His 2016 single "Out of My System," and especially his one-take bootleg video of The Temper Trap's "Sweet Disposition," went viral online, racking up millions of views. Working with labels including Island Records and Armada Music, Youngr blends island rhythms with global electronic sounds on projects like "This Is Not an Album" (2018) and "Memories" (2020), and has performed at major festivals such as Tomorrowland, Ultra Music Festival and SXSW, touring more than 40 countries including Turkey.
