Yol Project
Yol Project is a successful Turkish live-performance pop-rock band with roots going back to 1988, founded by brothers Zeki and Orçun Açabey, known for high-energy stage shows, a broad repertoire and an interactive style that pulls the audience into the fun. Starting their musical journey with just two guitars, they expanded their lineup in the early 1990s under the name Grup 3'Gen, then took journalist Savaş Ay's advice to rename to Grup Yol before finally settling on Yol Project to distinguish themselves from an unrelated protest-music group and to reflect their turn toward Western music. Alongside the founding brothers, the band continues performing with Emre, Emrah and Ersin, with vocalist Sinem joining for some corporate events and concerts; drawing from a repertoire of popular foreign songs, beloved Turkish pop-rock tracks and original compositions, they perform regularly at top venues in Istanbul, Bodrum and Çeşme and are among the most sought-after live bands for major tours and corporate events.
