Procombo, real name Gökçe Özer, has been one of the most important and long-standing DJs and producers on Istanbul's electronic music scene since the mid-1990s, known for a powerful techno sound built on dark, hypnotic, percussive and rhythmic elements. Born in Istanbul in 1977, he had his first resident DJ experience at the legendary Radio 2019 early in his career, later taking over the midnight techno slot on the show Dance Department. Playing at iconic Istanbul clubs including Godet, Indigo and Klein for more than 20 years, and sharing stages with world-famous names at major events like Electronica Festival Istanbul and Global Gathering, Procombo has also been a key figure behind brands including RX Istanbul and Flux Istanbul, and was among the creators of Big Burn Istanbul, one of Turkey's biggest open-air electronic music festivals, together with the Suma team in 2017. Releasing music on labels including BCCO and RX Recordings, he cemented his international standing with the "Upscale" EP, released on Chris Liebing's prestigious label CLR.
