People Like Us is a DJ and producer collective founded in Istanbul in 2018-2019 that quickly drew attention on Turkey's electronic music scene. The trio — close friends Batıkan Abız, Batıkan Tanrıkulu and Yiğit Karakaş — blends house, breakbeat and indie dance with a modern touch built on analog synthesizers. They became widely known through "Dancefloor DNA," a project released with renowned producer Mahmut Orhan, and are known for playing venues like Istanbul's Klein Phönix as well as Magic Break Festival's famed 7-hour All Day Long sets, sharing the booth with global stars like Keinemusik and Paul Kalkbrenner. The trio also founded their own label, People Like Us Records, to spread their musical vision, continuing to draw inspiration from Istanbul's cosmopolitan spirit.
