Murat Uncuoglu
Murat Uncuoğlu is one of the most established and respected DJs/producers on Turkey's electronic music scene, having played a critical role in developing and spreading club culture and electronic music in the country since the late 1980s, known both locally and internationally for a deep, atmospheric sound across Deep House, Progressive House and Melodic Techno. He began his music career as resident DJ at Bodrum's Hadigari in 1987 and made his name playing at the legendary Pasha club in Istanbul, later becoming a co-founder of Radio 2019, Turkey's first dedicated electronic music radio station, and serving as resident DJ for years at cult clubs including 7th House and Switch. Trained in sound engineering at Media Productions in London, Uncuoğlu returned to Turkey and co-founded the production company Miracle Workz with composer Aytekin Kurt, produced high-quality remixes for Turkish pop giants like Tarkan and Sertab Erener, co-founded the label Teknikal Rotation with Alican and Soner, and is one of the names behind Isolate, an outfit that today manages a strong international catalog and organizes events; his work has been released on prestigious platforms including Global Underground.
