LOLSNAKE
Lolsnake, real name Danielle Lumma Rahal, is a Berlin-based Iraqi-American DJ, producer and visual artist known on the electronic music scene for dynamic sets moving between hypnotic techno, trance and other genres. Born in California, she trained in classical music on clarinet and saxophone as a young musician before moving to Manchester, England in 2010 to study neuroscience, where she was drawn into the underground rave culture; she relocated to Berlin in 2014 and in 2017 founded Weeeirdos, a queer-focused party series and platform that runs regularly on Berghain's Säule floor. Blending raw rhythms, hypnotic techno elements and old and new school trance in her sets to create unpredictable, high-energy, emotionally deep atmospheres, she has performed on world-renowned platforms including HÖR Berlin and Boiler Room, and beyond music is also an illustrator who designs the posters and visual identity for her own events.
