Kenan Doğulu
Kenan Doğulu, working as a singer, songwriter, arranger and album producer, is one of the most successful male artists shaping Turkish pop music since the 1990s. Born in Istanbul's Cihangir neighborhood in 1974 to a family originally from Gaziantep, he is the son of famed musician Yurdaer Doğulu and brother of arranger Ozan Doğulu; he entered the piano department of a conservatory at age 5, trained in flute, guitar and theater, and later continued his education in stage and performance at the Musicians Institute in the US. He broke through with his 1993 debut album "Yaparım Bilirsin" and went on to deliver dozens of hits including "Sımsıkı Sıkı Sıkı," "Kandırdım" and "Çakkıdı," made in collaboration with Sezen Aksu; in 2007 he represented Turkey at the Eurovision Song Contest in Helsinki with "Shake It Up Şekerim," finishing 4th. He has been married to actress Beren Saat since 2014.
