Görkem Karabudak is one of the most important musicians, producers, arrangers and sound engineers on Turkey's alternative rock and experimental music scene. Born in Ordu in 1984, he found major success as vocalist and bassist for Çilekeş, a widely popular rock band formed in 2002, leaving his mark on iconic albums like "Y.O.K." and "Histeri Çalışmaları." He co-founded the band Bubituzak with Ali Güçlü Şimşek and Emrah Atay, and has worked as arranger and producer for major alternative scene names including Gaye Su Akyol and Tuğçe Şenoğul. He has performed at prestigious world festivals like Roskilde and Sziget, composed music for the Puhu TV series Dip, and in recent years has continued his independent music journey releasing solo singles under his own name.
