Fettah Can holds a very strong position in the music industry both through his own hit songs and the popular compositions he has written for Turkey's leading artists, making him one of the best-known singers, lyricists and composers in Turkish pop and arabesque. Born in Karacabey, Bursa in 1975 to an Albanian-descended family, he was introduced to music by his father, a knife maker, working as a shop assistant by day while taking voice, oud and guitar lessons at the municipal conservatory in the evenings. Before his singing career, he spent years primarily known as a composer, writing numerous chart-topping songs for major names including Sezen Aksu, Hande Yener, Murat Boz, Demet Akalın and Ebru Gündeş; he has released acclaimed albums such as "Hazine," "Aklımda Kalanlar" and "Yalanlar Cumhuriyeti," performing widely streamed songs like "Boş Bardak," "Mandalinalar" and "Bu Aşkın Katili Sensin," and released the single "Ne Güzel" in 2025. He married fellow singer-songwriter Cansu Kurtçu in 2014, and the couple has twins named Vera and Oğul.
