Emre Kınay
Emre Kınay is a Turkish theater, television and film actor who has been among Turkey's most recognized and beloved performers for years, on both stage and screen. Born in Istanbul in 1970, he graduated from Mimar Sinan University State Conservatory's Theater Department in 1995 and began professional acting as a student at Bakırköy Municipal Theaters at the invitation of his teacher Zeliha Berksoy; he founded Duru Tiyatro in 2005, where he continues to work as both an actor and instructor. Known for roles in cult TV series like "Yılan Hikâyesi," "Yeditepe İstanbul" and "Güneşi Beklerken," he won "Best Actor" at the 23rd Istanbul Film Festival for his performance in the film "İnşaat" and was named "Most Successful Actor of the Year" at the Afife Jale Theater Awards for his role in the play "Kara Sohbet." Coming from a family of theater performers, he has a daughter named Duru from his 2004-2009 marriage to actress Emine Ün.
