Emir Ersoy is a Turkish pianist, arranger and music producer known for Latin jazz work and projects blending popular Turkish songs with Cuban rhythms. Born in Istanbul in 1977, he is the son of Metin Ersoy, known in Turkey as the "King of Calypso," and grew up immersed in Latin music from childhood, making a name for himself with the Latin jazz band Mojito, which he founded in 1998. He has performed and recorded with numerous famous Turkish pop artists including Alpay, Tarkan, Bengü and Gülşen, and released albums such as "Cuban Portrait," "Rockuba" and "Karnaval" featuring many well-known guest artists. Married to actress Gökçe Bahadır in 2022, Ersoy is regarded as a leading figure in Latin and Cuban music in Turkey.
