Duman
Duman is a world-renowned Turkish rock band formed in Istanbul in 1999, blending American grunge and alternative rock with elements of Turkish arabesque and folk music. The group's foundations trace back to vocalist Kaan Tangöze and bassist Ari Barokas, who played together in a band called "Mad Madame" in the US, adding guitarist Batuhan Mutlugil after returning to Turkey; the band's name was inspired by the song "Halimiz Duman" during preparations for their debut album. Breaking onto the scene with their 1999 debut album "Eski Köprünün Altında," and cementing their place among Turkey's top rock bands with 2002's "Belki Alışman Lazım," Duman has delivered widely beloved songs including "Senden Daha Güzel," "Seni Kendime Sakladım" and a cover of Sezen Aksu's "Her Şeyi Yak."
