Dolu Kadehi Ters Tut

Dolu Kadehi Ters Tut (DKTT) is a Turkish alternative rock and pop rock group formed in 2014, made up of vocalist Mehmet Uğurhan Özay and producer/guitarist/backing vocalist Mürsel Oğulcan Ava, joined by additional musicians for live performances. The band's name, roughly "Hold the Full Glass Upside Down," was inspired by a line from the 27th quatrain of the poet and philosopher Omar Khayyam, and their funk rock/alternative rock sound draws influence from acts like Red Hot Chili Peppers and Twenty One Pilots. After an experimental debut recorded at home, "Polonya'nın Başı Belada" (2015), they reached a wide audience with their first studio album, "Dünyanın En İyi Albümü," in 2017, and have since released acclaimed albums including "Karanlık" (2019), "DKTT" (2021) and "Ölüm Dansı" (2023); the duo largely handle production of their songs and albums themselves, as well as directing their short-film-style music videos.
