Batikan Tanrikulu
Batıkan Tanrıkulu is a Turkish DJ and producer making waves in electronic music, known for energetic sets blending house, techno, indie dance and melodic techno with a contemporary sound. Born in Izmir in 2000, his passion for music began in high school, and he took his first steps as a DJ at 14-15 in Izmir with a controller he bought with saved-up allowance money; he moved to Istanbul in 2018 to take his career to a professional level and quickly began performing at Turkey's most prestigious clubs and festivals. In 2019 he co-founded the independent music collective and label People Like Us (PLU) with partners Yiğit Karakaş and Batıkan Abız, through which he releases his own music while supporting young DJs and producers in Turkey; his own productions and EPs have charted on Beatport for extended periods, and he has shared stages with many world-famous local and international names.
