Anıl Şallıel is one of the most accomplished saxophonists, composers and producers on Turkey's jazz and popular music scene, ranked among the country's most sought-after wind instrumentalists for his mastery of tenor sax, soprano sax and flute. Born in 1993, he started music at age 8 encouraged by his saxophonist father Mümin Şallıel, made his professional stage debut at 14, and shared the stage with drum virtuoso Dave Weckl at 15. He co-founded the group "Şallıel Bros." with his brother Batu Şallıel, and as a member of orchestras like Istanbul Superband, has backed artists like Natalie Cole. He has played on albums and tours for major Turkish names including Göksel, Teoman, Sıla and maNga, and has contributed to nearly 800 albums and film scores throughout his career.
