Alican
Alican, real name Alican Yüksel, is one of the most established and respected DJs and producers on Turkey's electronic music scene; born in Istanbul and originally a computer engineer by training, he redirected his career toward music out of passion. He got into electronic music in the early 2000s, initially producing drum & bass and breaks with partner Soner İnce, before meeting one of Turkey's most experienced names, Murat Uncuoğlu, in 2003; with Uncuoğlu's support in refining his sound, the two went on to found the respected label Teknikal Rotation, both to release their own music and to support talented electronic artists from Turkey and abroad. Releasing tracks under his own name and the alias Avilo on world-renowned labels like Get Physical, Global Underground and Connected, Alican also spent years hosting weekly shows on Turkey's leading electronic music radio station Future Generation (FG); known for a style blending emotional atmospheres with hypnotic rhythms, he remains actively performing on both the Istanbul and international scenes.
