4-i
4-i, also known as Dirty Projector, is an Istanbul-based DJ, music producer and queer scene organizer, a highly active figure in the city's electronic and queer music scene. Blending experimental sounds, timeless melodies and hypnotic rhythms in sets and productions that mix leftfield techno, goa, UK bass, electro and experimental club music, they worked as a photographer, videographer and stage designer at queer events before entering music, learning club culture from behind the scenes before starting their own productions. A founding member of XSM Recordings (Ex-step Mother), a label run by Istanbul's queer and trans community, and a resident DJ for Queerwaves, one of Istanbul's storied queer party series, 4-i has drawn attention for remixes of artists like Ceytengri and Alizade, and continues performing at international club nights and festivals bridging Berlin, Amsterdam and Istanbul.
